SHAWS RECOVERY

A  family-run 24-hour car and commercial vehicle breakdown assistance and recovery service.

Established as Shaw Brothers in the late 1960s by brothers Steve, Russell and Chris, we started off undertaking sub-contracting work from a local garage. In 1973, we bought our own premises on the A5 in Markyate, less than a mile from the M1. Starting with accident and breakdown work, we developed partnerships with national motoring organisations and an excellent commercial client base.

In April 2016, Shaw Brothers was divided into two companies, Shaw Brothers and Shaws Recovery. Shaw Brothers continues to focus on commercial recovery and police contract work. Shaws Recovery is today run by Steve’s daughter, Polly who has expanded the scope of its work to include the recovery of light vehicles, developing partnerships with motor organisations and taking the Shaws Recovery brand further.
